1973 Indesmalla S.A. was formed as a public limited company in the month of June 1973. In September of that same year, the building of industrial premises covering 1.050 square meters was begun on land situated in Paseo de Orsaviñá s/n. Pineda de Mar, near Barcelona. 1974 In March, production began with four "Raschel", and two "Ketten" machines. Our first activities were basically dedicated and aimed towards the ladies underwear market. 1978 A second industrial building of 1.052 square meters was constructed in Pineda de Mar, and was equipped with 22 "Raschel" and 8 Ketten machines, together with a first warping machine. 1985 Other industrial premises taking up 1.300 square meters were built in the industrial estate of Pineda de Mar. Here our first Weft insertion machines were acquired and together with the establishment of an investigation and development laboratory, other areas of the textile sector were promoted, especially for the Automobile industry and Household goods. 1990 The first electronic "Raschel" machines were acquired together with a second warping machine. 1992 Saw the purchase, and further extension of the factory with an area of 4.500 square meters in the municiple of Palafolls. Later, all machines wich were beforehand operating in Pineda de Mar, were removed to the new Palafolls factory. 1996 A third warping machine was installed. 1997 New and most modern "Ketten" weaving machines were introduced for fantasy and high quality products. Also a new warehouse covering 1.500 square meters was built next to our factory in Pineda de Mar. 1998 We were the forerunners in all of Spain with the instalation of Raschel Jacquardtronic "piezo-concept" machines.
